Taal Mala is also a longtime member of Vancouver’s Lighta! Sound, respected for deep knowledge of reggae, dub and bass music and for bringing thoughtful, rare rhythms to every set.
For this night, he’ll be digging into vinyl‑heavy selections rooted in classic Rub‑A‑Dub, Rocksteady, and ’80s–’90s reggae, layered with uplifting, conscious lyrics and positive vibes, all tuned to keep the dance floor moving in that warm, cozy, old‑school Legion atmosphere we love.
Warming up the night is Jota Love (Roberts Creek) our good friend Jared, a local selector with a deep love for reggae. He picked up his DJ name while living in Costa Rica, playing reggae for local communities and connecting with the Caribbean-influenced reggae culture there. Jota Love opens the evening with warm selections, positive vibes, and a true community-first spirit.
