Guitarist/singer/brewer Chris Booth and drummer/blacksmith Kelly Backs come by the name Blacksmith & Brewer honestly, (their actual day jobs!) and have forged a musical bond that reaches back to the early days of punk and into the future of rock.

This outfit packs a big sonic punch into a small package, with tight hooks and leads from both instruments (and truly great vocals by Chris) that fill the aural landscape for an audience that always roars for more.

When first contacted by Chris, in the fall of 2021, to join him in this musical journey, Kelly was reluctant “I’m already in 3 bands Chris, where am I going to find the time?” “We are going to be called Blacksmith and Brewer” was his response, to which the blacksmith replied “You son of a bitch, I’m in!”.

The new album spans the emotional spectrum, with laments like “Occupy” and “Dead in the Water” to the exuberant “All Right!” and the downright exasperated “You’re Right/I’m Wrong”, Blacksmith and Brewer hits you right in the feels, as well as put you in the worn out shoes of your server with “Water Wetter”, a new anthem for the service industry in these trying times.
